In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet of things (IOT), as one ofthe supporting technologies of IOT, wireless sensor network technology also developsfast, which results in interference, especially the interference with WLAN. Whencoexists with WLAN, ZigBee suffers more. Sometimes the packet lost rate of ZigBee iseven more than90%. In order to solve this problem, we did some research on thecoexistence of ZigBee and WLAN.On the basis of the anti-interference research of ZigBee, ZigBee network androuting protocol is studied under the interference of WLAN. Cluster-tree networkadopts the multi-channel approach to detect and avoid interference. Differentinterference detection modes are used for different nodes. ZigBee coordinator uses theACK/NACK-based detection mode. Other nodes in the cluster use bothACK/NACK-based detection mode and beacon-based detection mode. Test frame-baseddetection mode is used between cluster head and bridge device. For traditional routingalgorithms, such as LEACH and AODV, both of them have the problem of poorperformance under the interference of WLAN. So we suggest a new routing algorithmnamed IAEE (Interference Aware Energy Efficient Routing Algorithm) in this thesis.The factors of node anti-interference price, channel switching costs and residual energyare fully considered in order to choose the optimal routing in IAEE. With the use ofsimulation software NS-2, the influence of clear channel assessment on the coexistenceof ZigBee and WLAN is simulated, and the IAEE validity is proved. The experimentalresults show that ZigBee throughput can be optimized by choosing different CCA modeand the IAEE routing algorithm has a strong anti-interference ability under theinterference of WLAN. IAEE routing algorithm can also effectively save the energy ofnodes, avoid the death of nodes too rapidly, therefore, it prolongs the lifetime of ZigBeenetwork.Using the IAEE routing algorithm base on multi-channel cluster-tree network cansolve the problem of coexistence of ZigBee and WLAN effectively. It also improves thecommunication efficiency of ZigBee under the interference of WLAN, and lays a solidfoundation for large-scale network layout of ZigBee wireless sensor network in acomplex interference environment.
