Interference is an important aspect in the field of mobile communication system. There are various types of interference, e.g. spurious emission, blocking, intermodulation and etc. And also many study methods of interference on an adjacent frequency band in case of operations in proximity have been carried out. Generally, there are two main types, i.e. Specific Analysis and Snapshot Simulation.Investigation on the interference between the TD-SCDMA BS and WCDMA BS systems in the worst circumstance by specific calculation is given first. Analysis is performed based on the characteristics and parameters of transmitter and receiver in order to determine the extra isolation level. This can be solved the problem of BS/BS co-siting and co-existing between the different systems. The paper mainly introduces the simulation procedure of the construction the single TD-SCDMA platform used by classical Monte-Carlo based snapshot method. Based on this simulation environment, TD-SCDMA/WCDMA co-existing interference is then discussed in details. Some detailed simulations are presented for speech users only in a macro-to-macro cells scenario to obtain the interference curve on TD-SCDMA and WCDMA co-existence considering 1920MHz border. The simulation results of TD-SCDMA and WCDMA co-existence in this paper provide valuable reference for the research of hybrid network planning and optimizing.
