The Qinghai-Tibet railway is a plateau railroad line with the highest altitude and the longest course in the world, especially it covers the longest permafrost. The Qinghai-Tibet railway builds a bridge between Tibet and the inland. The mobile network along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway provides the communication services not only for passengers on the train, but also for residents around the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and109National Highway (Tibet section), therefore the research on mobile network coverage along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Tibet section) turns to be practically important and valuable.In this thesis, the PI system of mobile network coverage was built up to evaluate the coverage status of the current mobile network along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, analyze the influence factors of the current coverage problems, and find out the corresponding solutions by QC(Quality Control) Team. The main achievements of this paper are as follows:First, based on the preliminary study of the mobile network coverage along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Tibet section), a QC Team, called mobile network along Qinghai-Tibet railway coverage quality improvement team, was founded, which established the PI system on network coverage, including the mileage coverage with the signal receiving level higher than-94dBm, the successful connection rate of GSM network, the drop call rate of GSM network, the voice quality called RxQuality, handover successful rate, MOS value>2.8ratio, the amount of user complaints on network coverage and the ratio of investment and benefit, and so on.Second, the current coverage situation along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Tibet section) was evaluated by the PI system. Based on four aspects of the high altitude climate, environment, equipment, and the shortage of funds, the reasons for the low coverage were analyzed.Third, according to the direct reasons and the objective reasons such as the high altitude climate, environment change, equipment and shortage of funds, the solutions to improve the network coverage quality were raised by the QC Team activity. The implementation of the project was expected to promote the network coverage5percentage points and finally reached to the target that the mobile network along the Qinghai-Tibet railway (Tibet section) is continuously covered.In this thesis, the mobile network coverage quality of Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Tibet section) was researched by QC team quality circulation activity, it was expected that the mobile network along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Tibet section) would be continuously covered when the project is implemented. From a long-term view, the project would bring about more economic benefits and social benefits. The research achievement would bring some instructions to the further construction of the mobile network and coverage quality improvement along Qinghai-Tibet railway (Tibet section).
