| Over the past30years since opening up and reform, China’s journalism experienced three reforms. The provincial and prefecture-level TV stations vied with each other to follow the trend of the reform of journalism, making effective trails on the concept, content, form and transmission of news. Such is also true for the local television stations in the western regions. However, due to the inherent shortages of western local TV stations in the aspects of environment, policies, human resources, material resources, economic strength and technologies, the journalism reform shows the shortages of continuality and creativity after temporary development. The Live Telecast of Tianshui produced by Gansu Tianshui Broadcasting and TV station came into being at the early stage of1990s in the popular trend of the public livelihood news. Thanks to its distinctive style, unique package, innovative form and abundant content, it had been spoken highly by the public and created the brand of the news column successfully. However, in recent years, with the emergence of the new media, the "integration of three networks" is promoted continuously, which made the ecological environment of western local TV stations deteriorated. Although Live Telecast of Tianshui boasting the history of almost a decade has experienced various reforms and modifications, it still lacks the strength of development and its influences are diminishing gradually. This paper focuses on how the western local TV stations come to handle the challenges in the "Ominimedia" era and make breakthrough to seek development.This paper takes the Live Telecast of Tianshui of Tianshui Boradcasting and TV station as an example to analyze the current status and the existed problems of news column from the microscopic development background to the microscopic operation methods. On the basis of this, it then discusses the development countermeasures of western local TV stations in the new media environment. |
