Narrative Research On TV Debate Program

The progress of information technology and the improvement of citizen consciousness are twohallmarks of the development of the society. As an important carrier of information dissemination,naturally, television became an aggregator to the public opinion, and TV debate program came intobeing with its topicality, fairness, argument and other features.This article attempts to combine theoretical studies and content research methods, and take theTIGER TALK and Oriental Live Studio for examples to do a comprehensive narrative analysis for TVdebate program.In this paper, the author mainly analyzes from three parts:The first part mainly analyzesthe research background and significance,then generalizes the narrative theory and TV narrative theory,and expounds the related academic research status；The second part is the focus of the article, which dodeep analyses on TIGER TALK and Oriental Live Studio, respectively from "narrative element"——"narrator"——”narrative perspective”——”Narrative time and space”,grafting the mature narrativetheory to the study of TVdebate program,and discuss the narrative process of TV debate program. Thelast part, the author summarizes some experience and the insufficiencies in TV debate program atcurrent stage,and puts forward some opinions and suggestions for its development.
