Temperature control plays a very important role in the industrial automationcontrol, is a important control parameter of process control areas, and widely used in thefield of electricity, petroleum, chemical, paper, brewing and food industrial automation.The boiler is a typical temperature control object because the heating media is different,and can be divided into two categories: One is burning heating methods, the other iselectric heating. Due to the use of safety, environmental protection and energy saving,easy to use, high thermal efficiency, the latter is a ideal heating equipment. Electricboiler control is a typical temperature control case, its dynamic characteristics are oftenwith large inertia、large hysteresis and non-linear characteristics. If using the traditionalPID control mode with lower control precision and unsatisfactory control effect, it’shard to establish a precise mathematical model. Therefore,designing an effectivecontrol method to make the system with good stability, small overshoot and adjustmenttime performance will be with practical significance if taking electric boiler temperaturecontrol as the research object.In this thesis, we combine the traditional PID and fuzzy control method, design afuzzy PID method, which not only has the characteristics of high precision PID control,but also has fuzzy control flexibility and adaptability and other characteristics. Specificstudies include:(1) State the background and significance of the topic, and analyzes thedevelopment status of the boiler control system at home and abroad, and also introducesseveral common methods of the temperature control.(2) Research of the Fuzzy PID control algorithm. First, introduce the principle ofits advantages and disadvantages of the PID control and fuzzy control. Then combinethe PID control method with fuzzy control method, introduce fuzzy PID controlmethod.(3) Simulation of the control method. Design the system with PID method, thefuzzy method and fuzzy PID method in MATLAB, and comparise three control methods,the simulation results show that the method of fuzzy PID control is better.(4) Designing the overall of the control system. First, design of the overall schemeof the system, including the system’s composed of charged objects, control methods and systems, the composition of the control methods and the composition. Then, design ofthe PLC hardware configuration and wiring. Finally, design the PLC’s hardware andsoftware.(5) Debugging the system. Use the WinCC software to observation of the responsecurve of the system, the results show that the fuzzy PID control method can control theactual boiler, and have an ideal control effect.
