Information construction is a key element in the development of a hospital. Each hospital is also attaching increasingly attention to information construction. Various resources could be integrated, optimized, analyzed and counted by information system. The information provides powerful argument for decision-making of a hospital. It improved the efficiency and lowered the cost of a hospital. The information system improved the service quality and deepened the reform and promoted the development of a hospital.Nosocomial infection monitoring is part of hospital information construction. It is also a significant component of medical management. Mass data should be counted and analyzed on account of the complex content of nosocomial infection monitoring. Thus manual processing is of low efficiency and extracted data may be not comprehensive and not complete. So manual processing is difficult to realize timely monitoring, especially for the analysis and evaluation of rational application of antibacterial which refers extraordinary complex factors. Therefore manual analysis is difficult to accomplish desired effect. This is the important and difficult point in nosocomial infection management. Numerous nosocomial infection managers are searching a suit of scientific and useful nosocomial infection monitoring software to resolve the above problems.Hospital infection management software can improve the accuracy and timeliness of reports of epidemic situation, the infection management faster.more accurate decisions, so that timely, effective control and prevention of infectious diseases. At the same time, the infection of supervisory information system is an important component of hospital information management system.This article discussed the background and research status of system development. The UML modeling is adopted after analysis of business process of nosocomial infection. The overall architecture, network architecture, data architecture, security architecture and function architecture are determined by preliminary design of the system. Then the static block diagrams, dynamic block diagrams and database are designed to detail description of the system. On this blueprint the system is divided into system settings, data entry, query and pivot and data statistics module etc. Each module is programmed and tested. The system is on line implemented.The system is successfully operating in nosocomial infection office of Taian Central Hospital. The business process of nosocomial infection is optimized and work efficiency is improved by the implementation of the system. The system also provided accordance for relevant departments by producing all kinds of full and accurate reports.
