With the rapid development of the processing, the development of IC industry is very rapid. Integrated circuit communication developed from single-core to multi-core communication and then NoC. The communication level developed from KB to MB and to the GB level. Chip power consumption becomes more and more larger as the chip size and speed of communication to expand to become higher and higher. In some NoC, the network part of the power consumption even sometimes more than50%. How to reduce the chip power consumption has become an important research direction.Firstly, in this article, I begin to the analysis of the power consumption of the chip from the chip’s power is how to generated. Then start from the analysis of the power components of two kinds of NoC analyzing the composition of the network on chip power consumption as well as the proportion of the various components of the total chip power dissipation.I also analyzed the proportion of the various components of the power consumption of the composition of the network routing node as well as its power.In this paper, I wrote a brief introduction to the concept of network-on-chip methodology, and on-chip network of R&D process, as well as some key points that related to this paper about NoC. The parameters of the NoC performance evaluation, and these parameters is how to evaluate the NoC is introduced in the second chapter. In the third chapter, I describes the NoC’s power sources, and several research that commonly used to reduce the power consumption of NoC. Qualitative analysis of the NoC topology impact on power consumption and how to reduce the NoC power consumption from the point of view of the NoC network topology.In the fourth chapter, of this paper,analyzes the performance of the study that is more prone to several NoC topology. The analysis is mainly based on the power consumption and power dissipation associated with the analysis. Finally, I give an improved XBFT topology based on the network topology and based on the analysis of this chapter. And introduced some of the advantages of this improved NoC topology. At the end of this article, I wrote a simulation program, and it is described in Chapter5and shown how to simplify the simulation process of this simulation program under simulation principle and the simulation program’s internal mechanism and how to accelerate the simulation speed and the reliability of these mechanisms and credibility.I also described the input and output of the simulation program, and the operating environment. Finally, several sets of data were obtained by simulation. And by analyzing several sets of data to verify the proposed NoC topology advantages in terms of power consumption, and come to the percentage20%of the power consumption of the network improved.
