In a large base of coal storage, the ways of coal storage are usually in the open air, the case of spontaneous combustion of coal piles often occurred because of long time storage, poor ventilation, climate changes and other reasons. The spontaneous combustion of coal piles not only bring huge economic losses to our country, but also threat to the security of coal storage base staff, so temperature monitoring of coal piles is of great significance. The topic of this thesis comes from the "Online monitoring system of coal pile high temperature for port coal storage base". The system of monitoring coal piles temperature is based on infrared imaging technology, assist the administrator understand the status of coal in real-time. This system is divided into two parts, the Monitoring-side and the Server-side. The main function of Monitoring-side is to collect and transmit infrared images, visible video, weather data;the Server-side is to store and read the data collected by Monitoring-side, call analysis software. This article mainly introduces the composition and function of Server-side in the system, it describes the overall system functions and design, the software design and implementation of the server side.The Server-side is designed based on database. Choosing window-based Microsoft SQL Server2005as the background database, using Visual C++as the developing tool to design the interactive interface, and ADO technology for data storage and querying. The Server-side achieve following functions:to storage the infrared images collected by infrared thermal imager, the visible video collected by the visible light vidicon and the weather data such as atmospheric temperature, humidity, wind speed, rainfall and so on, collected by weather station; to storage the data setted by users such as collection point, geographical parameters, coal characteristic parameters; to call the temperature calibration software, the heat calculation software, the high temperature alarm software and storage the output; to query and display the historical data according to acquisition time and position.The debugging of the system has been completed. Various functions of the system can be achieved. The operation of the whole system is also stable.
