gpsOne is a hybrid positioning technology, which is based on Wireless Assisted GPS anddeveloped by Qualcomm, it is a kind of improvement to the traditional GPS positioning technologyand it has a broader application prospect, gpsOne can not only achieve high-precision positioning inoutdoor environment, but also can provide a better positioning effect in a variety of extremeenvironments (such as in the indoor or between urban buildings where GPS satellite signal is poor).At present, the majority of mobile phones are used the gpsOne positioning technology.The gpsOne hybrid positioning technology, the thesis carried out in-depth research and practicalapplications. The traditional GPS positioning has some shortcomings, such as locate difficultly oreven unable to locate indoors, so it is difficult to apply in some special occasions, such as personalsafety. The gpsOne is leaded in order to improve the shortage of GPS positioning in this article.Then the article carries out a detailed analysis on the positioning principle, the advantages, thesystem architecture, software architecture, operating mode and positioning process. The positioningis completed by receiving and processing satellite signals and assisted information of positioning.Relative GPS, the number of visible satellites is relaxed, the GPS signal is also more sensitive ingpsOne positioning, and indoor positioning with higher accuracy can be achieved. On this basis, apractical application-Children’s mobile phone is proposed according to the actual needs, and theactual positioning performance is tested. The conclusion is that the performance of gpsOne is betterthan GPS and can achieve better positioning in harsh environments such as indoor by analyzingdata recorded in the test. This provides a theoretical and practical reference for gpsOne s morewidely application in the future.
