With the rapid development of economy and society, more and more video surveillance is need in the transportation, industrial control, military and other fields. Compared to the simple monitoring system traditional with front-end collection, intermediate transmission, back-end display, intelligent video surveillance system has been the development direction and requirements of the monitoring system.The research project we called infrared monitoring system is in cooperation with a People’s Liberation Army factory, on which we added DSP image processing system, it can warning moving target by itself.The DSP system is referred to the SEED-DTK-VPM642provided by Arrow SEED(HK) Limited Co.. Master chip is DM642using DaVinciTM technology,including efficient video data processing capabilities.At the same time,with the help of TI’s DSP/BIOS tools and the RF5program framework provided by it, the code become more efficient, more portable, and more real-time.Not only the principle and structure of the monitoring system,but also the design principles about hardware and software of intelligent data processing module have been introduced in this paper. Combined with the analysis of a variety of typical moving target detection algorithm and the practical application of occasions, I propose a background subtraction algorithm which based on pixels cumulative average in this article.Experimental results show that this algorithm can effectively detect suspicious targets,and deal with related noise, and have a certain ability to distinguish "pseudo-target" such as bird or leaves jitter. The algorithm can be effectively applied to the border defense monitoring.
