Plasma propulsion technology is one of the Space Propulsion technologies that developed in recent years, plasma propulsion and traditional chemical propulsion together provide a way for spacecraft to launch and transpose.Because plasma propulsion has high specific impulse and small thrust, it is mainly used in spacecraft transposing orbital transfer and power compensation etc. In this dissertation, An energy measuring system is designed for capturing the energy emitted from plasma propulsion experiment.In this dissertation, a two-way high speed data collecting system is built based on FPGA and DSP. The system capture the discharge energy through real-time sampling the voltage and the signal derived from the current signal at the same time.FPGA controls collecting and storing data. High speed ADC works at100MHz, between two times of sampling, FPGA reads data from ADC and caches it by FIFO, then stores data in128Mbits SDR SDRAM. DSP exchange data with FPGA using EMIFA port, after FPGA samples, DSP reads data in SDRAM by FPGA and further processes it. Last, DSP delivers processed data to PC for display and further process through the physical network card chip.High speed data collecting and processing system includes system hardware designing and system software designing. The main devices used in the system are:DSP (TMS320C6747), FPGA (EP2C5Q208), ADC (ADC08100),SDR SDRAM(K4S281632), network card chip (BCM5221). System software design includes FPGA collecting and data storing management, the communication between DSP and FPGA, the design of serial communication in FPGA and so on.Last, A display software is designed in PC using MFC based on serial port. In experiments, oscilloscope and Signal-Taps display1.5MHz square-wave and sine-wave of data collected. This verifies the feasibility of high speed data collecting and processing system designed in this dissertation.
