Inverter have extensive application in industrial and mining enterprises because of the high precision, high efficiency, high power factors in speed regulation and start-stop performance and the importance of electricity-saving. In the use of inverter, we need to monitor the running condition, set its working parameters reasonably, in order to make inverter system satisfy the production process requirement, as far as possible in the best form operation. Inverter with control panel,because it have too many parameters,operators must be at the site when need to change operation condition, so the means is inconvenient, intuitive poor and control of single computer. In order to realize the remote focused on the inverter for parameter setting and operation condition monitoring,we use computers and many sets of variable frequency controller to form the small distributed control system,which can perform centralized monitor. The system has the obvious practical significance,and this scheme is more and more concerned by industry.The inverter computer monitoring software which designed in the paper runs on the PC, and the PC is connected with many sets of inverter by RS485serial bus. In the design of the software, we make use of the Modbus communication protocol which can improve the system versatility and make it easy to expand. Using Delphi language, ActiveX technology and MS SQL Server2000, we successfully developed the remote real-time monitoring and information management to multiple inverters, Avoid on-site inspection of operating conditions and set operating parameters, by focusing on analysis and comparison of different inverter control equipment operating parameters, a reasonable adjustment to set its operating parameters, and can find fault or faults tend to run, and the police and dealt with accordingly, the collected data into a database, information management, the normal operation of equipment,improve efficiency and energy conservation, etc. are of great significance.This paper introduces the design and realization process of inverter computer monitoring system in detail, which based on Modbus communication protocol and Delphi language. We first carry on the system analysis to define the tasks and objectives, and the whole system design:make sure the system architecture, the system function module division and the database design, etc. then tell of how to realize this design. Finally give detailed Program titrations to the system and make the summary to this paper.
