Most of the ponds still use the traditional techniques and equipment currently that costs a lot. However, the production is quite low and the quality is unstable. For improving the production and quality of freshwater ponds, and enhancing the automation and intelligence level of aquaculture, a set of intelligent monitoring system is designed, combining with the Modbus protocol and etc. For meeting the needs of development of high-output, high-efficiency, ecologic and safety of aquaculture, the system is an intelligent aquaculture control system with the functions of water parameters collecting automatically, networking automatically for transmission, decision-making intelligently as well as controlling by auto or remote-handing, that is based on the technology of Modbus protocol, ZigBee and GPRS networks, data analysis, and fuzzy control.The system is mainly made up of the terminals of acquisition and control, gateways and monitoring platform. And the terminals of acquisition and control monitor the water quality parameters online and send the real-time data to the server for storing, analyzing and processing, by ZigBee and GPRS network. And the terminals adjust the pond environment by controlling the actuator according to the results of fuzzy controller.The unit of data acquisition of the system implements the communication mechanism among sensors, actuators and the microprocessor by using the Modbus Protocol, which helps to improve the anti-jamming ability, scalability and compatibility of the system. Through applying ZigBee and GPRS networks to the system, the data transmission for close and long distance could be realized respectively, which efficiently solves the problems of high cost and difficultly maintain for cable transmission.The system could real-time monitor, transmit, store, visualize, analyze and process the environmental factors which include dissolved oxygen content of the pond, pH value, illumination intensity, water temperature, water level and others. Through applying the fuzzy control algorithm to closed-loop control the pond that regulate the environment of pond intelligently, the system guarantees the optimal growth environment of aquaculture species, that is a beneficial exploration that the modern fishery is improved by automation and computer technology.
