To overcome the existence of traditional and backward dormitorymanagement problems, to establish a solid foundation of campus managementconstruction and personnel training for the university is available.This thesis mainly stresses on the followings: Firstly, to research for the studentdormitory management system in Heilongjiang Institute of Technology, then to analyzethe technology of the traditional information management system that is based onWindows Server2008as its development platform, and choose the latest SQL Server2008as its back-up database, using the powerful Microsoft Visual Studio2008softwareas developing tools as well as using B/S structures and the powerful.Net developmenttechnologies. Finally, studying its function structure, designing new database, then setup E-R model and index table. This system is basically consistent with the currentconduction. It has the advantages of simply operated, conveniently used, easily learned,low price and high maintainability.The system is mainly divided into two parts: First, student user subsystem. Second:the administrator user subsystem. Student user subsystems include landing home page, class information inquired,bedroom information research, civilized bedroom competition, personal information,bedroom news, message board etc. Administrator subsystem includes: dormitorymanagement, class management, user management, query functions, message boards.Since each individual subsystem is independent, the log-page is not the same.Meanwhile, the student user subsystem consists of the users who have permission tofurther improve the security and confidentiality of all information, which morestrengthen its safeguards and confidentiality. Tested a lot, it can basically meet the needsof the users.
