With the rapid development of computer techniques, information techniques have been widely applied to various industries. In particular, the development and popularity of information techniques has made up for the limits of the traditional office working style, improving office working efficiency, increasing information safety and achieving standardized management. The popularity of education has led to an increasing number of university students. Dormitory is the place where university students spend their school life. Proper distribution and management of dormitories has become an issue of increasing concern. On the one hand, it is related to the personal safety and property safety of students; on the other hand, it has a close bearing on maintaining the normal school order and improving the qualities of students. The traditional manual management can no longer give a clear display of students’ information. The large number of students often impedes normal and immediate distribution of dormitories and results in the delay of repairs and water and electricity management. Besides, the dormitory checking style is backward.This paper mainly introduces the project background and application status of the students’ dormitory administration system of Guizhou Normal University, and the major research issues in this paper. Through analysis of the original service procedures, the service recreation procedures are designed, and the specific services are analyzed. Role analysis, use case analysis and package diagram analysis are employed to analyze the system functions. The system data are analyzed through the establishment of category thumbnails, entity classes and database forms of various functional modules. At last, this paper comes to its conclusions and points out prospects of the research field.
