Research And Implementation Of Media Content Management System Based On XML

With the development of the society, the media industry has progressed from the period of the traditional form to the era of the new media. However, for the people who are working in the fields of newspaper, broadcasting and TV, it is a new and vital question that how they can face the challenge of the new media and take more vitality into their profession. This article is about this topic with the viewing angle of the system of the media content management.The emergence and growth of the system of the media content management has given directions to the sustainable development of the radio, TV and film industries. Specifically, the management of the media content is based on the concept of Content priority and in this path the digitization of the analog signal, the networking of the program transmission, the promotion of the information technology for the resource storage and the construction of the management information system with the advanced IT technology is imperative. But because of the different distinctiveness such as the huge quantity of the media data information, the large storage space, the various kinds, the complexity between the elements and so on, it is a quite difficult problem that how to catalogue the retrieval of the media content efficiently in the process of system establishment.Firstly, this article focus on the application of the media content management system in the middle-size and small-size media content management organizations, for example, the audio and video files archive. And this article analyzes the management model with the3-tier application method. Specifically, the model in this thesis uses the Visual Studio2010integrated development environment, the SQL Server2008database and the Secondary-Storage to conserve the streaming media and the original material document. Furthermore, in the process of front retrieval browse, the B/S mode and the ASP.NET technology facilitates the network users to search and browse, and the development of the C/S pattern secures the data safety and confidentiality in the process of the background data control.Secondly, this thesis sets about how to realize the design of the specific media content management and tries to do some in-depth research in the aspects of the establishment of the cataloging meta-data of the broadcast and television information and the ways of the description of the DC meta-data in the XML extensible makeup language. Lastly, this article is based on my working experience, and I summarized some deficiencies in the real operation process of the management system. From this research I hope to provide some theoretical principles to the diversity of the media content searching procedure and contribute to the whole network of the media asset management system in reality.
