With the rapid development of information technology in the last decade, exchanging and sharing information became more possible and popular. Increasing demands and activities in online shopping, online transactions, e-tax, e-government, e-commerce applications were involved in our daily life and brought us huge convenience. As the center for collecting and distributing information of human civilization, libraries store a huge number of documents and a large amount of information. The management system of a library should become capable in centralizing its management, scattering its operation, tracking and sharing information, and electron zing managing process of books and other collections. These requirements transform the traditional library management into digital, paperless, intelligent, comprehensive system and make it more efficient to be operated by library staff and resulted with better services to readers. This master thesis focuses on analyzing the current library management system of Pure College, comparing it to other systems, conducting research for new design, and proposing improvements for developing a model management of a library with a more efficient and convenient to better serve teachers and students. Specifically, my analysis employed object-oriented method to offer a reference to the four key components of designing and operating a library management system:Book Collection, Verification, Cataloguing, and Distribution. The research presented in this thesis was conducted with is following approaches:Synthesizing the managing process from sampled libraries a building model based on the change of data type and flow and setting boundaries among book collection, verification, cataloguing, and distribution to build models with different specifications.Conducting object-oriented analysis with object-oriented modeling method and language to develop case, behavioral and class model for each components of a library management system. (?)Building E-R model and data dictionary based on the theories of database and describing the characters of information that will be used in the system(?)Designing new system for the library management system of Pure College...
