With the business times competition intensifying, massive bandwidthtransmission technology is needed urgently. Easy-management and easy-schedulingOTN represents the development direction of future optical network, and is preferredthe next generation transport network technologies by telecommunication industry.The current domestic and foreign operators are active against the full service, fullservice operation, fixed and mobile multimedia service provides the capability tofusion will be the operator network development and construction focus. For the rapidgrowth of the transmission bandwidth pressure, it is urgent for telecom operators toprovide massive bandwidth transmission technology.As of2011March Jilin area G and TD network consists of4016stations,12056District, covering the administrative village of99.97%and99.14%natural villages,has reached a depth of coverage requirements, but with the company requirements of100%seamless coverage and a section of distance, the Jilin mobile transmissionresource utilization has broken through threshold values, approaching the highestvalue. Now people’s health and safety consciousness, rights protection awareness isgrowing, the traditional base station antenna is copper, signal attenuation, can not betoo long, base station room must be the nearest location. And a base station to a room,room rental cost is high; the maintenance personnel to room maintenance, manpower,travel costs are high (Reference: Chinese carriers each having hundreds of thousandsof base station,3G station will be concentrated ten times) all of these make themaintenance cost.Distributed base station by BBU (Base band Unit, baseband part) and RRU(Remote Radio Unit, radio remote unit) is separated into two independent units, theobtained location more convenient. RRU and antenna near to reduce feeder loss; and BBU through optical fiber remote (between using optical fiber connection, themainstream interface standard for CPRI, a high rate of3.072Gbit/s,37km equivalenttransmission distance, radius of5.9km region, area100km2. If the network is astar-shaped structure, covering3.14x372=4.298km2), need not require base stationand antenna are close, location is more flexible. BBU is only1~2U, can be placed inthe room free space. And the OTN device can better reduce fiber consumption, reducethe color light and the network cost guard clear interface, easy positioning problem.Based on the above situation, Jilin mobile to adopt OTN transmission and BBUconcentrated solutions to Jilin mobile transmission resources are limited, the basestation site is increasingly difficult problem, in response to the national energy-savingemission reduction, reducing energy consumption policy, comply with group greenbuilding requirements, the Huadian branch has taken BBU concentration, RRU OTNand SDH combined into double protection ring bearer service pilot work. Accordingto the Jilin move existing cyber source and development in the future of the marketdemand, to the pilot as a platform,The main contents are given as followings:1. Study of wavelength division multiplexing in OTN optical transport networktechnology, discusses the OTN optical transport network topology, analysis andcomparison of OTN optical transport network physical topology logical topology, fora later stage of the work to lay a foundation.2. Study OTN optical transport network resource allocation, node structure andperformance, in a given network blocking probabilities, analyzes how to make full useof optical network limited fiber and the wavelength resources to build moreconnection request question, and then proposes a new solution to the problem ofC-RAN scheme, using the simulation data and experimental the results prove that thescheme is superior to other kinds of traditional solutions.3. Combined with Jilin mobile existing cyber source and development in thefuture of the market demand, on a OTN optical transport network survivabilitysolutions-BBU concentration, RRU OTN and SDH combined into double protectionring bearer service. First of all, we studied the pilot city of existing transmission. resource, pipeline resource large area investigation, according to the feasibilityscheme for equipment installation, and commercial network. And validated in theGSM network BBU concentration, is how the OTN loop to achieve protection, rapidpositioning link failure, thus solve the fiber line maintenance, management andexpansibility problem. Networking testing hand prepared from light indicators,business functions, system function, long time error aspects of C-RAN solution in thewave division network scheme of testing, on the other hand, C-RAN solution ofmultiple sets of network plan under the business performance, baseband resource pooland maintainability of system testing. Aiming at the comprehensive assessment ofC-RAN solutions, we researched the existing network application effect, theaccumulation of commercial experience.4. Through a large number of existing network test data collation and analysis,evaluation of this scheme can achieve the optical network survivability requirements,and save network resources and reduce the cost of optical fiber, research of wirelessnetwork of new ideas. Through Huadian branch of OTN transmission and BBUconcentration pilot based work, we proposed " Jilin mobile optical transmissionnetwork (OTN)2011-2012years of construction planning ",and " Jilin mobile OTN,SDH optical cable transmission system-Specifications for engineering acceptance ofwork process handbook".
