Researches On The Books Retrieval In The Library Based On The Embedded System

In the internet era, information overloading which is a phenomenon that frequently occurs when users look for information has brought about rapid change in the development of information retrieval. Nowadays information retrieval is a tool widely used in people’s daily life. Library with more and more various collections and materials is the best practice for information retrieval. With the rapid development and wide applications of embedded technology, various kinds of hand-held mobile devices have been used in more and more engineering applications. Embedded systems used in the library information retrieval can overcome environmental constraints, to achieve a more flexible information retrieval in mobile phones and other embedded platforms. Compared to the traditional machines using manual retrieval, the mobile library information retrieval system under the embedded platform is more automatic, which has not environmental restrictions, and is characteristic of flexible information retrieval, and easy to carry, cheaper cost.In this paper, based on a deep investigation on the current statue of the digital library information retrieval system, we proposed a digital library information retrieval system using the embedded platform. In addition, the overall designation of the proposed system, and the sub-module of the functional structure are discussed in detail, in order to build more feasible mobile book retrieval software for the users to achieve greater security and applicability. Therefore, construct a RFID Information Service Platform which based on the RFID technology, allows user to stay in the office and monitor the remote forest over the network. On the other hand, the inspection staff member can easily add to the system by using PDA, cell phone or even notebook which supports WiFi wireless network technology, instead of using specific portable reader.
