With the rapid development of network technology and the popularization of broadband technology, streaming media is becoming mainstream application on the Internet, such as online music, video on demand (VOD) and so on. P2P technology breaks down the traditional transmission model. There is no strict distinction between server and client and each node is equal to share bandwidth to provide the data services to other nodes at the same time as receiving streaming media data. Present. The major network traffic is P2P traffic and P2P has become a mainstream form of network data applications. P2P has emerged its superiority in the field of streaming media applications and has good prospects for development. However, due to some defect itself, there is still much room for research. This paper makes the depth research on the task of P2P streaming media content distribution and describes the key technologies of P2P streaming media content distribution and makes the innovation. Mainly include the following tasks:(1) Present a P2P streaming data assignment algorithm based on data block importance degree and buffering delay. Improve the performance of the algorithm in the aspects of reducing delay and improving the quality of broadcast.(2) Design a P2P streaming transmission algorithm based on network coding technology. Analysis the performances on the playback quality and buffer delay. Improve the performance of the algorithm in the aspects of reducing transmission times and improving the quality of broadcast.(3) Use OPNET network simulation platform to simulate the algorithms presented and analyze the performance from the buffer delay, broadcast quality and system consumption comparing other algorithms.
