With the development of the Internet, the Internet application turns to collective and multimedia application. The application with the main content of video and audio and photos enrich the Internet application content, and make users to take part in the application actively. With the multimedia application increasing gradually, it impose a great pressure on the bandwith and storage cost, thus become a bottleneck.CDN and P2P have its own strengths, and their calculation models are complementary. So, combining P2P's alability, efficiency, with CDN's reliability, manageability, it can build a streaming media content distribution platform that has these strengths. This article analyzes the development and researches the P2PCDN network, and studies the relatively critical tecknologies such as P2P, Content delivery, and Load Balance deeply. It discusses several international existing models of streaming system based on P2P network and P2PCDN and analyzes their advantages, disadvantages and circumstances to apply. The above related work is very valuable to the design of my system. With the in-depth study of CDN, P2P and the P2P streaming media technology, this article propose a random topology based multi-layer structured P2PCDN content distribution network with features of local traffic. The core network of the P2PCDN is designed and implemented for live streaming. The deployment of the network can make full use of the actual location. It can reduce cross-border traffic and is able to speed up the data distribution. It is easy to manage the network and to optimize the content distribution structure. Finally, the the correctness of the content distribution strategy of the system is verified.
