With the development of mobile telecommunication and the continuousimprovement of mobile network bandwidth, Network multimedia technology havemade many telecommucation appications, such as visible telephoning, video on-demand,and remote education,to extend into mobile terminal from the fixed terminal. Thecontinual concerns have been given to the mobile Internet contentdistributiontechnology of streaming media, which is a critical component of the networkmultimedia applications, and that technology is embracing wide applicable future.Main research works are as follows:①Analyze the characteristics of streaming media business in the mobile Internet,and introduce the key points of streaming media content-distribution technology.②Analyze the structure of scalable video coding and the P2P content-distributiontechnology. Taking the advantages of traditional content-slicing, we propose aSVC-based streaming media P2P torrent-slicing policy for the server andquality-adaptive P2P slice-picking policy for clients.③Analyze the current mainstream structure used in P2P streaming media system.We proposed our SVC-P2PCDN structure, which is adaptive to mobile Internet andSVC video stream, and implement the function of the system module and processingflow.④We implemented a prototype of SVC-P2PCDN in Linux, and performed asubstantial set of experiments to evaluate the performance of the entire system functionin streaming media distribution, and adaptive download and play of streaming media inclients under complex network.Our focuses include the researches and analyses of the structure of SVC stream, anddesign SVC streaming media P2P torrent-slicing policy for servers and quality-adaptiveP2P slice-picking policy for clients. Based on the analysis of mobile Internet andstreaming media distribution technology, we propose a prototype of P2P streamingmedia content-distribution system applicable in mobile Internet. Our contribution is thatour SVC-P2PCDN combines the advantages of scalable video coding and streamingmedia distribution, achieves the aims that share data among heterogeneous networkdevices, and design SVC streaming media P2P torrent-slicing policy for servers andquality-adaptive P2P slice-picking policy for clients, used for multilayer video stream’s efficient slice transmission and stream-adaptive download and play in the clients.
