Wireless LAN is famous for its convenient and efficient, low and many otheradvantages. In recent years, WLAN made considerable development and great success.Nowadays more and more people start getting concerned about network quality ofservice, network security and network reliability. The network measurement andmanagement tools play an important role in ensuring the efficiency and reliableoperation of network. The paper mainly focuses on IP network testor and it applies toWLAN.Firstly, we introduce the concept, status and significant of IP network testor.Besides, analysis of the IEEE802.11WLAN features and performance testdevelopment. Secondly, the embedded development process and environment of the IPnetwork testor are given in detail, and the WLAN test solutions based on the Libpcap isproposed, the collected data stored in SQLite, and show in MiniGUI test interface.Thirdly, on the basis of analyzing IEEE802.11WLAN frame format and meaning,researched and implement of WLAN measurement in IP network testor. Fourthly,researched the methods of WLAN data frame traffic statistical and DCF access delay,one AP data traffic statistical methods are given, given DCF access delay simulationand analysis it. Finally, Summarize and look ahead at work.
