Research On Highway Information Basic Data Element And Its Application

Data elements are the basic work of data standardization, which is also thefoundation of system integration. The basic data elements of highway information havepublished. But the plain structure leads the weak effect of data elements application.This paper studies the structure of data element and its management system deeply,which is meaningful to improve the usability of data elements.On the basis of analysis of the current studies of traffic information basic dataelement, demands in Shaanxi province and the theory of data element, a2-Dcategorization method according to professional field and management level of highwayinformation basic data element is put forward firstly, and the coding method of Shaanxihighway information basic data elements is designed. Secondly, a3-layer data typemodel based on data elements is built, and the application methods of the3-layer datatype in highway system data exchange are introduced in detail. Finally, the managementsystem of basic data element of Shaanxi transportation information is designed andprogrammed using J2EE technology and B/S architecture.The main achievement of this paper lies in the layered structure and managementsystem of Shaanxi province transportation information basic data element,Which areuseful to ensure the interaction of the transportation systems and the unification oftransportation information, when it is applied in the highway informatization of Shaanxiprovince.The research for this dissertation is supported by the Shaanxi ProvincialTransportation Bureau with grant No.06-07X(Compilation of Shaanxi TransportationInformation Basic Data Element Dictionary).
