Hardware implementation of the algorithm based on Handel-C programming language is a technology using high-level language for hardware design in order to complete algorithm. This technology can quickly mature the existing algorithms in C language program into a hardware implementation, but also to efficiently develop new hardware implementation for algorithms. This technology has a short development cycle, lower development costs, development results with high reliability, easy maintenance and the second development, can be applied to a variety of complex algorithms implemented in hardware prototyping system.This article describes the process of abstraction from algorithm concept to theory. Described the techniques in the description of the algorithm using C language to assist in hardware design. Completion method described the algorithm in C programs into Handel-C language program and design in the transformation process for the hardware implementation. Analysis of the factors affecting the efficiency of the hardware systems and solutions.Paper uses hardware implementation of the algorithm based on Handel-C programming language developed a bilateral filter that can complete bilateral filtering of color images of size533*400. Designed and completed the design of low-cost realization of the natural exponential function, multi-level storage structure design, multi-module parallel execution and other key design.In this paper, the hardware verification of the bilateral filter, to prove the feasibility and accuracy of hardware implementation of the algorithm based on Handel-C programming language. The work of the process makes the algorithm software process into a hardware implementation. Improve the algorithm speed of approach, to consider algorithm speed for the occasion with a good prospect.
