Romote Management And Maintenance System For The CAPF Vehicles

The Chinese People’s Armed Police Force (CAPF) charged with the domesticsecurity issues; deal with the temporary and emergency affairs. The daily use of theCAPF vehicles is very frequent and dispersed. Thus the traditional way to maintain andmanage the CAPF vehicles can not compete to the demands of tasks anymore. Wedeveloped a remote management and monitoring system for the CAPF vehiclesaccording to the actual operation environment. The application of the system can greatlyreduce the accident rate and the cost of the daily maintenance. Furthermore, the armyofficers can obtain the information of wanted vehicle by the system at any time. Itensures full control and vehicle safety warning for CAPF.In this thesis we proposed a solution of the remote management and monitoringsystem for the CAPF vehicles, accounting the actual demands of the CAPF. This systemis based on the advanced technology of domestic and foreign vehicle monitoringsystems. The fault collection terminal is an embedded system based on LPC2292andECOS; the remote diagnosis server consists of the communication module, databaseserver and the WEB server. Then the remote monitoring and safety warning system forCAPF vehicles is achieved by integrating the fault collection terminal and the diagnosisserver. The test to the system under actual conditions shows the reliability and the stableof the system which can meet majority of the current vehicles of CAPF (more than90%coverage).This system integrates the functions of the remote real-time state monitoring, faultdiagnosis and analysis, fault warning and daily management for the CAPF vehicles. Ittransforms the maintenance mode from the traditional passive repair way to a kind ofactive preventive way; from the timing or mileage maintenance to real-timemaintenance; from the extensive management way to the fine management with greatmilitary benefits.
