With the increase of resident income since reform and opening up, residents’diet structure has also undergone great adjustment and the dairy demand is two-digit growth rate. Like other extensive mode of development, dairy industry also has many shortcomings. Firstly, the environment of the breeding site is too cluttered to manage; Secondly, the number of cows is large in scale and individual acquaintance degree is too high to identify. To solve the two problems, this paper presents the radio frequency identification (RPID) digital management technology and embedded system.A large number of stable and powerful processors emergences, giving impetus to the rapid development of embedded technology. They have been used in the military, economic, social, and all areas of daily life. Embedded system, small volume, be easily cut, the interface be simple and convenient, easy to operate, especially some embedded system development costs low, is suitable for large-scale civilian applications. In recently years, RFID technology is a hot technology and widely used in access control, library management, cargo tracking security etc. Its great advantage is the ability of strong individual recognition. Every cow has a single electronic label can be simple and efficient to manage.The main topic of the paper includes an embedded system terminal and a suit of PC planned software. Hardware of embedded terminal based on S3C2440A processor that is made by Samsung Corp, a external power supply module, a standard RS-232serial port, a USB interface, a network interface, a A/D interface and a touch screen interface. PC installs Microsoft SQL Server2005database, storing and analyzing the collected data.The topic of the software design mainly divides into three big modules. Data acquisition module collects the cow individual identity information, eating situation, weight, blood relationship, medication and other data. The data transmission module is responsible for the collected data which is transmitted to the host computer through the network interface. The data management module is mainly related to the database, including data storage and data analysis functions.Based on the RFID technology and embedded system, the subject successfully realizes the individual identification of dairy cows, collecting individual dairy cows information, preliminarily achieving the fine breeding objective.
