This chapter makes ananalysis of propagation conditions and social influence of public opinionin the ancient society. The ancient social system is based on the "home-country" patriarchal ethical relationship, forming a social tendency ofpreferring private business to public. Thus proverbs are shown too muchattention to the individual interest and less to the public. Social groups’attitude towards the authority of public opinion is blind fear, and social individuals’ expressing their opinions shows malaise and depression, andat the same time, public opinion channel of expression is not smooth, andmore reduces the expressing ability and desire of the masses.
