Zhejiang University Network Laboratory (Netlab) is the first to propose the conception of remote laboratory combines both virtual and physical experiments,The laboratory is based on B/S structure, which covers5courses:circuit theory, digital electronics, analog electronics, microelectronics devices, Microcomputer, which is a comprehensive remote laboratory. Users can login on a web experimental system to do experiments, without restrictions from both time and space. This project is an extensional subject to a national science and technology key issues support projects titled "research and application of the key technologies of virtual experimental teaching environment"(No.2008BAH29B00), by adding the physical experiments system to the former virtual one which is based on Modelica, Netlab aims at establishing of the first remote experimental platform combines both virtual and physical experiments, and it can be large-scale used for experimental education, and circuit theory courses as an electric and electronic disciplines is a important course is one of the important university electrical class professional courses.Firstly, we discuss the the remote laboratory research background and development in the world, then presented the structure and function of structure of Zhejiang University Netlab, and then take the circuit theory courses for an example. Two chapters were used to introduce the internal operating principles and experimental process, each type of experiment system are explained in detail their key technologies. Finally, physical client and virtual client plugins are integrated to a unified laboratory information management system platform, users can login on the Web site to do two types of experiments. Compare the theory experimental results to the physical experimental results, the users can have a better understand of the experiment.
