Design And Implementation Of Internet-based Laboratory With Simulation And Physical Experiment

Electrical and Electronic Network Laboratory of Zhejiang University is an Internet-based distant laboratory. It adopts Browser-Server-Client (B/S/C) architecture, and the client is experimental side. In the system, the foreground client mainly consists of Flash plug-in, and the experimental side includes both physical experiment platform and computing nodes. So the whole system can provide both physical experiment and virtual simulation. There are5classes,23groups, more than80physical experiments and electrical and electronic simulation experiments in current platform. The platform is stable, safe and flexible. As the Intermediary of the browser-side and the experimental side, the design and implementation of the server is the key of the whole system.This thesis consists of5chapters. Chapter1describes the background of an Internet-based laboratory development, and the review of distant lab at home and abroad, as well as the resources of Internet-based Laboratory at Zhejiang University. Chapter2expounds the overall design and structure of the Internet-based Laboratory with both simulation and physical experiments. And then we analyze the similarities and differences between the new application server and the old one in details. Chapter3details the design and implementation of data exchange layer of the Internet-based Laboratory based on B/S/C architecture. The data exchange layer uses Javascript and Flex to build. And Chapter4illustrates the design and implementation of the server based on Netty architecture. And the last chapter concludes the whole thesis, meanwhile gives some suggestions of each part.
