Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, the fields of aviation andautomobile manufacturing have used the most advanced scientific manufacturing technology,such as, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Virtual Manufacturing Technology and so on.The development and application of computer technology make the technology of aviationand automobile manufacturing towards digitization and automation. However, there are moreirregular surface and thin-walled components which are difficult to detect in the fields ofaviation and automobile manufacturing. The ordinary detection technology is very difficult toachieve the requirements of detection. Therefore, the digital detection technology becomes thebetter solution. Because thin-walled is with lower stiffness and easily deformed, and somecomponents will be deformed with self-gravity inevitably. The number of locating points andposition in the main plane will affect deformation of thin-walled components directly. Basedon the current situation of digital detection technology, we combined with practicalapplication of engineering and build digital detection platform. By calculation of locatingpoints and precisely clamping of components, and using scanning equipment, we achievedigital detection of product. In this paper, we must complete followings:Firstly, this paper explores the research situation and development trend of digitaldetection technology. The shortage application of the rapid digitizing detection technology ofthin-walled components is proposed in nation. Expound the purpose, significance and contentof this paper.Secondly, designing overall structure about digital detection flexible support forthin-walled components with space curved, searching locating points and researching thathow to revolve the problem of clamping deformation. At last, we gain the whole system ofdigital detection and expound its function and innovation.Finally, we summarize results of the research, and put forward the direction of futureresearch work.
