Digital signal processing system, because of its stability, predictability, strongadaptability, as well as programmablility and low-cost, has been widely used in every aspectof life. Therefore, in order to meet the practical need of application, this article aims tointroduce a general digital signal processing platform, which is equipped with rich interfaces,has complete functions and could be applied to various occasions.First of all, this paper analyzes the using DSP processor chips and fixed function ASICdevice with two kinds of traditional digital signal processing system design,which leads to thethird kind of solution of using FPGA as the hardware core of digital signal processing.Because FPGA has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption, reliable performance,flexible logic unit, as well as the advantage of short time to market, it can meet the needs ofdigital signal processing in the integration, speed and function of the system. The design andimplementation of a FPGA as the core, contains a digital-to-analog converter, analog-digitalconversion, optical fiber communication, data storage in FLASH, data stored in SDRAM, PCIbus, CAN bus interface, feature rich signal processing platform. Followed by the introductionof the system to achieve the overall structure, hardware circuit design, each module designand realization and CAN bus controller IP Core design. In the end, through the testing of thefunctions and performance of the signal processing platform, the analysis of the resultconfirmed that the design of all functional interface is correct, and the indicators all meet therequirements, the system is stable and reliable. In a word, it can be used into application in asatisfiable way.
