The Research And Design On Electronic Police System

Electronic police system is an important part of the intelligent traffic system,which is a popular and rapid-developed application research field. The intelligenttraffic system fuses many advanced techniques, such as computer technology,electronic control technology, graph and image processing technology, voiceprocessing technology and so on. The techniques are all applied to the entire trafficcontrol system and an all-directionally exerting functional and real-time traffic controlsystem will be established widely.This paper is about the research and design of the electronic police system anddiscusses some related techniques on its operating system, image-processingtechnology and database management technology. A relative practical electronicpolice system is to be designed by analysing the traffic situation in Shunde,Guangdong, according to its working principle, system composition, data flow and thetype selection of equipment. The system is made up of the front intersectionacquisition system which uses the processor PC104and the operating system Linuxand can distinguish license plates based on the artificial neural network algorithm, thecommunication system, and the central information management system which doesinformation management to all vehicles based on Oracle Database.The establishment of the electronic police system can improve the city trafficmanagement, traffic operations for the police to provide assistance for buildingordered to contribute to urban traffic environment.
