The Research Of Electric Box Furnace Temperature Control Sysrem

Temperature is one of the most important process variables in daily life. Electricbox furnace is a broadly applied cyclic heat treatment furnace in metal heat treatment,which temperature measurement system and temperature control system are veryimportant to the heat treatment quality of the work piece. The temperature of electricbox furnace influences the quality of the spare parts, the performance of automatictemperature control system influences the passing rate of the product, the productionefficiency of the company, and the energy saving. So the development of a propertemperature control system for this type of electric box furnace is very important tothe production of the company.This paper focuses on the electric box furnace in the spare parts workshop.Concerning the temperature control inaccuracy and the high rejection rates of theelectric furnace, the paper researches in the following aspects.1. Designed and developed the temperature control and calibration device for theelectric box furnace, which is based on the PC. By inputting the temperature needed,the PC can control the temperature of the electric box furnace within1400degrees.And designed the detection and transmission circuit, temperature control circuit andtemperature-controlled output channels.2. Set up the proper PID regulator model in the temperature control system,edited the programs needed in the temperature control and calibration process, whichincluding main program, digital filtering process, inspection procedures and etc.Practical interactive interface was also been developed.3. Normalizing heat treatment experiment of a shaft part was operated before andafter the transformation of the electric box furnace. The experiment shows thattemperature controls accuracy, passing rate improvement and labour cost reduction.The temperature control system was tested to be practical.
