With the quality improvement of people’s life, traffic pressure is increasing every day. A varietyof "intelligent transportation" devices will become an important way to solve the traffic problems.Based on the study of software “intelligent transportation”,the paper focuses on the streamingmedia technology involved in the project.First, highlights the compression coding technology of H.264. From the H.264technicalcharacteristics, the applicability of the wireless network environment, and comparison with otherencoding, summed up the H.264advantage.Second, for the streaming media network transmissionpart, mainly carried out two studies. On the one hand is a link in the transmission queuemanagement mechanism, and on the other hand is transmission congestion control protocol, andusing the NS2software simulation. compared two ways Droptail and RED network, come to theadvantages of RED. In order to meet the characteristics of the real-time transmission of theproject,select TCP-friendly transmission congestion control protocol TFRC. New TFRC protocolhas been improved and simulated.Then, for the receiving part of the mobile client, detailed analysisof the RTP packaging process. Uncoordinated issues for the speed of sending data and processingdata, multi-threaded concurrency mechanism has been used to resolve it. Then to ensure the orderof the data, the paper use synchronization lock thread management mechanisms to solve theanalysis of module and the decoding module synchronization problem. Finally, the paper design amulti-level buffering mechanism.Developed intelligent transportation software functional modules.Including traffic information display module and streaming function modules. The streamingfunction module subdivided into data receiver,the data decoding and video playback module.FFmpeg data decoding procedures has been simplified and optimized for CPU overload of work.The "intelligent transportation" software tested functional and performance in ZTE androidoperating system intelligent phone.
