With the rapid integration of streaming media services and mobile Internet, the traditionalstreaming media technology is faced with great challenge. In response to this challenge, this thesisproposes the solution of adaptive streaming media system based on the traffic controller architecture.The core idea of the solution is to deploy the traffic controller between the mobile wireless accessnetwork and core network. And let the traffic controller play a dominating role in streaming mediatransmission control to replace the traditional client-side or server-side mode. In this way, it candeploy adaptive technology both for wireless access network and core networkIn this thesis, the main research work is as follows:At first this thesis studies the related technologies of streaming media and streaming adaptivetransmission system. And points out that at present the traditional streaming media adaptivetransmission system has defects in the face of the mobile Internet business.Then according to the above defects, this thesis innovatively proposes the adaptive streamingmedia system solution based on the traffic controller. And elaborated the network deployment of thesolution in detail and the overall design of function modules. Then around the solution respectivelyto give the transmission of streaming media system adaptive function design and adaptive cachefunction design.Then this thesis points out that the classical TFRC protocol algorithm in the face of the wirelessnetwork environment cannot provide accurate throughput control. This thesis optimizes the classicTFRC protocol algorithm, creatively using correlation coefficient to distinguish network congestionand wireless link error. And make modified TFRC algorithm applied to adaptive streaming mediasystem based on the traffic controller core functions-bandwidth prediction and adaptive bit rateconversion.At the end of the thesis using NS2simulation tool verifies that in the wireless networkenvironment modified TFRC algorithm can achieve higher throughput and lower delay jitter than theclassical TFRC. Using MyEvalvid simulation tool makes the comprehensive system simulation foradaptive streaming media system, and the result verifies the adaptive function design for streamingmedia system.
