The wireless sensor network is a new research which focuses of today’s international forefront multidisciplinary fields. It is widely used in military, agriculture, environmental monitoring, medical and other fields. Routing protocol is one of the key technologies in WSN, which determines the data transfer and forwarding path. Routing protocols are usually divided into flat routing and clustering routing. Among them, the clustering routing protocol is a hot area of research of wireless sensor networks. Traditional clustering routing protocol security considerations usually not vulnerable to internal and external network attacks. The work carried out in this paper are as follows:(1) The basic concepts of WSN, the structure, characteristics, applications, key technologies, security threats and needs. Then giving security analysis and comparisons of typical flat routing protocols, clustering routing protocol and the location-based routing protocol.(2) On the basis of describing in detail of clustering routing LEACH protocol,I analysed the most vulnerable attack of LEACH protocol, as well as the combination of existing key management mechanism and LEACH protocol, then designed a protocol based on symmetric cryptography LEACH-S, and analysis of the performance of the agreement.(3) I used NS2simulation software, simulated LEACH-S which is on the basis of the MIT-uAMPS LEACH protocol. Then experimental results are analyzed. The simulation results show that this design scheme has certain anti-attack ability. Finally, I give the the summary of the full text, and pointed out the inadequacies and worthy of further study.
