The Research Of The Construction Of Township Library In The Northwest Of Hubei Province

With the development of information, China’s economic construction has alsodeveloped greatly, but its cultural construction has fallen behind. Chinese culture hasaccumulated for thousands of years in Chinese civilization and is the national softstrength. Culture is the important content of the people’s livelihood and the importantmeasure of the happiness index. To improve the people’s livelihood, we should notonly let people have “rich pockets’ but also “rich heads”. Therefore the governmentseized the opportunity to publish a series of policy for cultural construction. EarlierKnowledge Sharing Project，the construction of new countryside, the development ofcultural industry and the construction of rural library construction all show that thecountry attaches great importance to the cultural construction of basic-level. Thesecultural construction measures offers opportunity for the township libraryconstruction.In China the township library construction is in a initial stage andbecause of developing differently is faced with many problems. So the townshiplibraries in Northwest Hubei Province have become “forgotten corners” and theconstruction has become even more worrying. However today’s building aharmonious society makes it possible for all the people to share and benefit from thefruits of reform and development of culture.The government’s related policy andfinancial support will promote the construction of the township libraries and willdirect the construction work in Northeast Hubei Province. Hubei Province lies in themiddle of China. It has less developed economy and many mountainous areas andmany impoverished county. Its natural environment, economic conditions, customsand habits affects the construction of the township libraries, so the construction isn’tsatisfying. Therefore, I would like to base my study on the village and town librariesin the northwest region of Hubei Province. Compared with research on constructionof domestic libraries at home and abroad and the present construction of the librariesat home and abroad, although many experts and scholars have carried out the study ofdifferent levels, their studies are superficial. They haven’t come up with related solutions to the deep-seated contradictions and problems. They haven’t speciallyresearched into the libraries in a certain area, so I want to study unique strong historyand culture in Northeast Hubei Province, discuss the existing problems in theconstruction of village and town libraries, and find the countermeasures to solve theproblems to promote the healthy development of libraries of villages and towns. Ialso want to make contribution to promoting the harmonious socialist construction.
