In the wave of global economic integration, standardized container, as a way of shipping, is getting a rapid development. Currently, the center of international container port and shipping of the world has shifted to China, the core of the Asia-Pacific region. As China’ s largest artificial harbor, one of the most important northern port, Tianjin, is vigorously implementing the strategy of "technology and education to develop port""Talents to develop port". Tianjin port is increasing investment in technology, and enhancing independent innovation and creation; increasing the application of information technology in the production of port, creating high-tech business platform. With background of container business scope and operation flow, combined with the actual operation of the container terminal, Tianjin port designed and completed automation management system for container terminals, which accumulated sufficient energy for the transformation of accelerated development mode for Tianjin port in future.This thesis analyzes the current situation of Tianjin Port container terminal operation management system. In order to unify the core module of the operation management system among all container terminals in Tianjin port, reducing the differences information level between container docks, the system applied C/S model, PB10.0, VC++, with Oralce9i to develop tools. Development of language and tools and database management system are briefly introduced and analyzed in this article. Beginning with the analysis of the demand of container terminal operation management system, it introduced the purpose and principle of system design; put forward design pattern and framework for this system, and analyzed the main module of composition in the belt system, based on which it designed unloading the ship yard" alternating a, three single verification algorithm; finally the primary function of the system interface is introduced and detailed tested.With the completion of container terminal automation management system, Tianjin Port container handling and transport will be informationalized by a complete solution. Intellectualized and automatically system will reduce labor costs and overall operation costs dramatically, thereby enhance the efficiency of terminal operation and will support24hours of continuous operation, making full use of yard area and operating fast with security. With the system, Tianjin port can meet the ship’ s large, high-speed and cargo owners, shipping companies of rapid transit, to reduce costs to and will become the most competitive enterprise to informationalize container shipment in China.
