Coal is the main source of energy, with social development and technological progress, the demand for coal continues to increase. To meet demand, the need to continue mining, this has led to the mine environment has become increasingly harsh, therefore, an urgent need for coal mine safety technology support. With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, it is appropriate to apply to mine safety by domestic and foreign scholars.Wireless sensor network is an important branch of IoT technology by deploying sensor nodes in the coal mine.you can get the coal mine anywhere in personnel, equipment and environmental information, only via wireless communication and multi-hop technology. It saves cabling costs and relative easy to maintain.Coal mine safety supervision system, personnel tracking and locating systems are based on wireless sensor networks, and the time synchronization is one of the key technologies of wireless sensor networks. In general, coal underground mining areas are in the hundreds or even thousands of meters underground, the mine personnel and equipment can not get a GPS signal. Existing time synchronization method is performed by a large number of optical fibers disposed downhole to access time information, but the coal mine tunnel underground is complex and deployed into a tree structure, the optical fiber is arranged relatively high cost and cumbersome to maintain.First,this paper analyzes the status of coal mine wireless sensor networks, key technologies and issues facing. Secondly, the wireless sensor network time synchronization theoretical basis and some classical time synchronization algorithm can be used to find a suitable time synchronization algorithm for coal mine environment. Then, for mine roadway in wireless sensor network time synchronization needs, we propose a feasible time synchronization algorithm scheme.then, in view of the time synchronization requirement of wireless sensor network nodes in coal mine laneway, a feasible algorithm for time synchronization is proposed. Based on the 3D localization model in coal mine laneway, combining the distribution characteristics of relay node, sensing node and measured node, and using the principle of paired broadcast synchronization (PBS) and continuous multi hop synchronization algorithm (SMA), to realize the time synchronization of the whole network. The feasibility of this scheme is analyzed by simulation from the point of the synchronization precision and the number of synchronization messages. With the integration of the positioning model and the time synchronization model, the two major technical problems of wireless sensor network positioning and synchronization in the coal mine laneway are solved effectively.
