With the development of computer graphics, non-photorealistic rendering in the simulation of intelligent, art, social areas, recreation areas and has a wide application prospect. In this paper we research the rendering technology of two styles:watercolor painting and cartoon, which are characteristic in traditional drawing field and are complex to Simulation drawing.We research the rendering technology in a static picture and realize simulation, which based on video style processing. Finally the design has realized based on the image processing of images and video style automatic processing system. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Non-photorealistic watercolor drawing:through detailed analysis and research of traditional watercolor painting characteristics and basic mapping techniques, determine the watercolor simulation steps:edge extraction and darkening, watercolor paint free diffusion, flow pattern generation, paper texture blending. In order to simulate better watercolor effect, this paper proposed one kind of watercolor simulation drawing method based on the Canny edge detection and eight neighborhood weighted average diffusion algorithm, the use of morphological operations to achieve the flow pattern which produced by the interaction of water and color, finally based on the pixel level fusion algorithm to achieve the paper texture effect. From the experimental results, this method has a good simulation effect and efficiency.(2) Non-photorealistic cartoon drawing:the cartoon has the following characteristics: single color, clear line. Set out from these characteristics, in this paper the cartoon simulation drawing has the following steps:image abstraction, color quantization, edge detection. In order to simulate the good effect, this article proposed one kind of cartoon simulation drawing method based on bilateral filtering image abstraction and Lab channel color box quantization algorithm cartoon simulation algorithm, finally, edge extraction and color quantization of image fusion. From the experimental results, this method has a good simulation effect and efficiency.(3) Video style processing:watercolor drawing in a static picture, cartoon simulation is realized on the basis of processing video style. Through key frame extraction to improve the efficiency of video style processing. From the experimental results, this method has a good simulation effect and efficiency.
