With the development and maturation of Optical Fiber Communication Technology,optical fiber has been widely used in backbone network. HINOC(High performanceNetwork Over Coax) bridges the last100meters broadband access network, takingadvantages of the existing coaxial cable and networks on the background of FTTBbeing widely deployed and used. HINOC access technology works on the coaxial cablechannel band above860MHz and makes fully use of the existing coaxial cable, aimingto provide many broadband applications such as services of IPTV, SDTV/HDTV andInternet service, only by adding correlative devices of HINOC Bridge(HB) and HINOCModem(HM).This paper is based on the project undertaken in our laboratory–“Research andChip Design of a New Generation of Broadband Access Technology over Coax”, usingAltera Cyclone III EP3C120F780C7and Intel PXA270processor. Firstly, the analysisof HINOC network and MAC layer protocol was proposed. Secondly, based on theanalysis of the web-based network management, the HINOC network management ondevice was investigated in this paper, including system management, flow controlmonitoring, MAC addresses management and user management. Then the keytechnologies of HINOC network management software were introduced, including RCBtechnology to implement the data association between HTML and devices, and how todescribe data on devices with HTML form element. Moreover, the debug method andtesting results were given in the end. Finally this paper put forward the data interactiondesign scheme between CPU and multicast and insert-capture modules on the MACcoprocessor of HINOC network.With the completion of the Linux driver program, theimplementation of data interaction between CPU and hardware modules on FPGA wascompleted, promoting the realization of multicast module based on IGMP Snooping.
