There are only several companies that could produce TBM in Europe and Japan for the high value of manufacture technology and rolling complexity.There are still large gap between our county and the foreign counties in the TBM field such as adaptive design, system integration technology.The manufacture and test of the main componments and the simulation systerm.At present the study on mud-water balanced TBM system is focus on several relatively independent regions. While research on the whole characteristic of mud-water balanced TBM system is relatively less,because it generally requires lots of investment in equipments to perform on site test or experiments of physical model which sets back the process of research. Therefore,the design and analysis of mud-water balanced TBM system can but only depend on engineering experience. Depending on the other reason of the high price of the virtual realty systerm.There is great need to develop a cheaper simulation systerm for the small companies in our county.Based on the distributed virtual reality technology, combining the interactivity of language VRML and network’s superiority of Java and JavaScript, we developed a function simulation system of the TBM, which avoids the single product launch of the network forms as well as the expensiveness shortcomings of augmented reality simulation systems.The research tasks of the paper are as follows:(1) Studed the constructing methods of the WEB interaction virtual environment. A system is build on the theis of Java/JavaScript and VRML using HTML page as running base.A method based on WEB for grasping a virtual environment,which has the abilities of a relatively high grade but low cost.(2) This system can simulate the movement of TBM presentations, virtual assembly and mining process, fully utilizes the advantages of VRML. The customers can get a full, screen real and powerful understanding of product performance using this system for simulating a three-dimensional movement and excavation process of the TBM, such as on the ground.(3) Deeply studied the characters of the mud-water balanced TBM. The key parts are built in Solidworks.And a conversion and processing method was given through the3d model data transition using the Deep Exploration from the data structures of Solidworks to the data structures of VRML. (4) On the other hand, the tool life is ansysed on diffent soil and driving parameters, which greatly used the the muli-functions of ANSYS and the visualization of the Workbench. This ansys gives the fatigue curve for the tools and gives guidance of the design of the TBM.
