With the development of military and national defense industry, the technology ofsimulative scene generation has been more and more important in relevant fields. Thescene generation system with high frame rate, which is used to simulate the movementof high-speed object in a specific background created by computer software, generateseach frame, transfers the image data to PCI card through PCI bus and outputs the imagesignal while running. It can be tested by this system that the performance of high-speedobjects tracking system. Additionally, the need for outdoor image acquisition can beeliminated while using this system. Thus, it spares the time and reduces the cost.At the beginning of this paper, it is introduced that the basics of applicationprogramming in Windows, including multithreading, window messaging and theapproach to developing programs in Windows. Based on those above, it is discusseddetailedly that how to design the frame and implement the application of this system.MFC and VB.NET are used to implement the UI, while the kernel of the system isimplemented in form of dynamic link library. The second half of this paper mainlyintroduces the development process of the driver for the PCI video output card in thissystem. We discuss how to design the structure of the PCI video output card driver andhow to build the driver using WDM in succession. At the end of the paper, it isintroduced that the relevant part of the driver implementation, including the INF file andthe API encapsulation.
