As the communication technology booms up in recent years, the large-scalewireless network plays a much more vital role day by day. It is featured by low cost,high flexibility, simple design, convenient installation and great scalability. As theapplication of wireless network becomes greatly popular and widely used, networkmanagement displays its importance in addition to the optimal built-in network devicesand reliable network architecture. Thus realizing the real-time and highly efficientmanagement of large-scale wireless network will enormously boost up the developmentprogress and application scope of wireless network.Based on the study of wireless network management system, the thesis presents anapproach to improve the existing information management system with the combinationof SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) and MIB(Management InformationBase), to meet the requirement of highly stable and greatly time-efficient informationcollection. The thesis centers on editing new management information base andoptimizing existing management information base for wireless network managementinformation base according to the requirement of operators. The informationmanagement system stated in the thesis, in collaboration of wired and wirelessintegrated solutions, has been applied in large-scale wireless network system. And thetest result shows that it can meet the challenge brought up by large-scale informationcollection, and can deliver all the functions in normal use. |
