The Research Of Configuration And Management System Of Embedded Network Equipment

The Embedded network equipments such as the routers, the switches, which support the running of the whole network, have been playing an important role in the field of data communication. The software platform applied to data communication among networks is of the core technique of embedded network equipment.In general, the configuration system includes following systems: the terminal system, the command processing system, the configuration file management system and the information processing center system, etc. In a sense, the configuration system implys the command processing system, such as the command line system, the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) network management system and the WEB configuration system, etc. In this paper, the command processing system is mainly discussed, with the emphasis on the principles of the typical command line system and the SNMP network management system. Also, a stable and efficient method is proposed to solve the problem of the combination of configuration systems.Considering the complexity of the software platform used in advanced distributed network equipment, we only discuss the centralized software platform in this paper in order to give an intensive analysis of the configuration system. The issue of supporting distributed network equipment in configuration system will be studied in our future work.
