With the rapid development of Taxation information technology in recent years,the tax system in major urban areas has reached the requirements of informationization.After large amounts of data have been put into the warehouse, how to use themeffectively is the major problem. Data warehouse, which integrates compares andanalyzes vast amounts of data, can be considered an effective approach. It is acollection of subject-oriented, integrated, time variant and nonvolatile data, used tosupport the decision-making process in management. Online analytical processing canprovide users with multi-angle, fast and intuitive view for better observation of the data.Thus, according to the characteristics and demands of current tax inspectingmanagement system, data warehouse and on-line analytical processing can providedecision support for policy-makers.This thesis first examines the relational database theory in the application of thissystem. Then the tax audit system data table has been analyzed and normalized, andlastly the methods for data warehouse design and optimization are concluded.By using these methods, the constraints of entity integrity, referential integrity andof user-defined integrity of relational database theory can be well demonstrated. Andthe use of relational database design, in accordance with the theory of relational data,makes the database structure more reasonable. Besides, this thesis also uses a cluster ofstorage mechanisms, improves the physical operation of the system-level performanceand the final result is consistent with the expected one, thus meets the goal of thisresearch.
