With the rapid development of the digital signal processing technology and theembedded technology, digital signal processing chips are used more and more widely inevery way of people’s life.As DSP’S Hardware progresses, embedded system has become more and morecomplex. Embedded Software Engineer’s size and difficulty are on the increase,nowadays software development spend more and more blood and treasure on thedevelopment cycle and cost. As part of the software development process, theimportance of debugging is day by day prominent.In this thesis, we firstly introduced ADSP’s the kernel structures and debugtechnology, agent debugging especially. The present thesis demonstrates the realizationprinciple of debug technology, and Basing on the realization principle, agent debuggingsystem was designed.this system provides observation and control of the programyou’re debugging, this thesis implements lots of debugging function, for example,breakpoint, single step, to read and write memory, and so on. In realizing methods,agent debugging system adopts the IPCI bus to realize communication between host andtarget computer, and through the monitor on target computer to complete Debuggingcommands from host.After the testing and practical application, the debugging system has betterfunctionality, and is sufficient for needs in our application, modular design makes thedebugging system has good expansibility.
