Design And Implementation Of Monitoring Center Software System For Expressway

As a significant part of intelligent traffic management system, the monitoringsystem for expressway plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency as well as securityof expressway. Initially the current monitoring mode for highway is analyzed in thispaper, on which the discussion for the structure and function of the monitoring systemare based. Besides, a real time monitoring system for the expressway monitoring centeris designed and implement.Initially the architecture of Monitoring System for Expressway is analysed. In theregard of real-time operating system and internet protocol, the structures of currentmonitoring systems are studied. And then in the respect of practical needs of tasks, therequirements for the project are established: the whole monitoring center software canbe top-down divided into the data acquisition subsystem which is confronted toexpressway as well as the graphics computing subsystem which is the terminal facingto operating staffs. The two subsystems work independently and make sure that thewhole monitoring system runs with security, stability, and efficiency.The function of the data acquisition subsystem is implemented by three modules,including the data acquisition module, the database access module and the logmanagement module; then the function of the graphics computer subsystem is realizedby the information board management module, the database access module and videoterminal module as well. The modules referred to above are implemented on theplatform of DELPHI6.0. After which the structure of background database and theinterfaces between the two subsystems are designed with SQL Server2008. Last butnot least, the unit testing and reliability testing are brought into effect, together withrelevant test case and results analysis, after which the software of expresswaymonitoring center is built up finally.
